Pure Water & Mineral Water Treatment Plant (4)-Ultra Filter/Ultrafiltration (UL)

The ultrafiltration method is similar to the reverse osmosis method, it also uses a semi-permeable membrane, but it does not control the removal of ions because the pore size of the membrane is large, between about 10-200A. Only bacteria, viruses, pyrogens and granules can be excluded, the water-soluble ions cannot be filtered. The main function of the ultrafiltration method is to act as a pre-treatment of the reverse osmosis method to prevent the reverse osmosis membrane from being contaminated by bacteria. It can also be used in the final step of water treatment to prevent upstream water from being contaminated by bacteria in the pipeline.
